The current structure set into place means that you MUST complete your Junior Football Certificate prior to a Youth or Senior Football Certificate. The pathway can be seen below.
WHEN ARE COURSES HELD?

To register for a course you need to visit the Football Australia Coaching webpage
Here you can select the course and date you would like to enroll in and fill in your details!
Once you have submitted your details you will receive an automatic email response confirming your registration with a payment form attached. This form MUST be returned and payment completed at least 10 days prior to the course date.
WHAT IF MY COACHING ACCREDITATION EXPIRES?
Once a course is completed you are accredited for 4 years. Once this expires you will need to fill in a Coach Re-Accreditation form and a Code of Ethics Form and submit to Andrew Carey. There is a $40 re-accreditation fee which gets you another 4 years with your licence.
CAN I BE EXEMPT FROM A COURSE?
It is possible that you can be exempt from a Junior Licence if you have played at high enough level (First team football at a National League or Premier League level). You will then need to fill out an ‘Exemption from Course’ form and wait for approval. However, this is the only course you may be exempt from, the Youth Licence must be completed with an Advanced Pass before attempting a Senior Licence.

CAN I GET A REFUND?
Refunds will not be available, if you are unable to make it to your course that you had paid for please email acarey@footballfedvic.com.au with plenty of notice, then you will be placed into the next available course that you can make it to.
MY CLUB HAS SAID THEY WILL PAY FOR MY COURSE, IS THAT OK?
If your club or school has agreed to pay for your coaching course we can either issue you a receipt upon payment to give to your club for re-imbursement, or we can place it on your clubs account only with approval in writing (such as an email) from a club official (Treasurer, Secretary, President) confirming that it is ok to place the course on the clubs account.
CAN MY CLUB HOLD A COURSE?
Yes your club can hold a course at its facility providing they have a minimum of 14 participants paid for the course. All your club needs is a room and a pitch for the theory and practical components and we will provide the rest.
SENIOR LICENCE COACHING COURSE COMPONENTS
All coaches attending a Senior Licence must be aware that there is three components of the course that need to be completed in order to receive your accreditation. They are:
1. FFV four day football specific course delivered by FFV instructors = $275.00
2. Sports science course delivered by VIS sports science staff = $100.00
3. Intermediate General Principles course delivered by Sport Education Victoria = $235.00
Therefore, once all components are complete and coaches receive their Senior Licence the total cost is $610.00. The above three components can be completed in any order and at times can take up to 12 - 15 months to complete. I HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY COACH ID CARD YET, WHERE IS IT?
Your coach identification cards are processed by the FFA in Sydney once given approval from the state federations. These are processed and printed in large batches and therefore are only printed every few months. We ask for your patience in receiving these cards, however, if it has been several months since completing your course or re-accreditation then please contact Andrew Carey via the details below.
